How to set an intention for spiritual enlightenment

is one of the most powerful things you can do in your life. I have set intentions for so many things and then seen them come true. The list of intentions includes:

  • To be a Mountain Guide
  • To guide expeditions to the most remote parts of the planet
  • To Inspire many millions of young people to take environmental action and humanitarian action
  • To earn thousands of dollars per hour as a Speaker on human performance
  • To study enlightenment
  • To live an enlightening life
  • To help others thank me for their enlightenment

The list goes on and on. If you wish to have a personalized INTENTION for your self and want help developing one that reflects your highest good then e-mail me at enlightenmentHow@gmail.com and I will chat with you and then send you the Intention and a visualization of it.

The power of intention cannot be overstated. For me I now realize that I have been using the power of intention since an early age, and I suspect that if you look back you will find out that you too have been using it to get what you want from very young. One of my first realizations about the power of intention was when I was 16 and in the Alps of Europe with the family. I saw mountain guides and decided that I wanted to become a mountain guide. My father explained to me that the the mountain guides were apprentices, often trained by their fathers, and the skills passed along from father to son. From his perspective there was no way that I could become a mountain guide.

In me was still a burning desire to become a guide, so even though the way looked impossible I kept on with that intention and visualization that this could happen. The intention drove me to increase my rock climbing training, and then that became the focus of my life. Even when I went to University I chose a university that was in the best mountains in the UK. This way I could go climbing on my breaks. My intention drove my action. My action was totally focused on the result. I scraped and starved so that I could go to the Alps climbing. I starved so I could go on an expedition to South America. I slept in the rain because I was saving my money to go to Peru. The big picture drove me to drop the small stuff of comfort.

I took a job as a teacher in some of the worlds best, wildest and remote mountains. A little village of 200 people in the Yukon, in northern Canada. So I could be close to the mountains. Out of the blue at age 22 I was offered my first mountain guiding job, in the Yukon.

It did not happen that there was any order to the logic. I could not foresee this end result when I started. At age 16 there was no possibility for this to happen. What I did was set the intention and then followed it with a bull terrier like determination to explore this love of the mountains to the maximum.

When you set the Intention for Enlightenment you are starting on the most magical journey that surpasses any outer world journey to the most exotic, rich, plush, comfortable surroundings.
