Tool Page 2: Muscle Testing & Finger Dowsing for Decision-Making

Author: Martyn S. Williams

The Purpose of the Tool

Intuition is the brain and nervous system recognizing patterns faster than conscious thought can keep up. Muscle testing (or finger dowsing) is a physical tool that allows you to access this intelligence before the “loud” thinking mind starts to debate or negotiate.

How to Perform the Finger “Yes/No” Test

This is a portable, discrete tool you can use anywhere—from the grocery store to the boardroom.

  1. Establish a Baseline: Choose a physical signal for “yes” and “no”.
  2. The Action: Personally, I use my fingers. Apply pressure as if trying to pull your fingers apart.
  3. The Response:
    • Yes: The signal “clicks” open or feels strong.
    • No: The signal stays locked or feels resistant.
  4. Practice: Start with neutral questions to establish a clear baseline response before moving to high-stakes decisions.

Practical Applications

You can use this tool to explore:

  • Supplement Compatibility: Does my body need Haritaki today?.
  • Food Choices: Is this specific meal aligned with my current energy needs?.
  • Timing: Is now the right time to move, or should I wait?.

The Explorer’s Rule

Intuition is least reliable when emotions are highly charged or fear is dominant. Always use the Pause Test first: take three slow breaths to calm the nervous system before testing.
