Books on Death and ReIncarnation

Here are listed some of my favorite books on the topic of Enlightened Death,  and enlightened living

We are starting at the end of life with this book.

It tells stories of amazing beings and how they were are the time of their death.

Many of the stories gave me an “Ah-ha” moment, as they depict these people smiling as they depart, laughing as they depart, or directing and teaching right up to the last moment of life. Some stories even share how the enlightened master set up circumstances so that they would be teaching from beyond the grave in practical ways to their key students.

I really love this book and read it quite regularly, to remind myself of our immense human potential.

Death!

Enlightened beings pass on

How enlightened beings pass on

This book is truly astounding in its description of the experience of Enlightened Masters as they leave the body.

The book description reads”

“Death is a subject obscured by fear and denial. When we do think of dying, we are more often concerned with how to avoid the pain and suffering that may accompany our death than we are with really confronting the meaning of death and how to approach it. Sushila Blackman places death—and life—in a truer perspective, by telling us of others who have left this world with dignity.

Graceful Exits offers valuable guidance in the form of 108 stories recounting the ways in which Hindu, Tibetan Buddhist, and Zen masters, both ancient and modern, have confronted their own deaths. By directly presenting the grace, clarity, and even humor with which great spiritual teachers have met the end of their days, Blackman provides inspiration and nourishment to anyone truly concerned with the fundamental issues of life and death”

We are all quite capable to experience an enlightened death, let us plan on creating that for ourselves. Read the book, get inspired!

With inspiration comes the strong intention to live spiritual enlightenment, and then the game begins!
