Top 3 videos for Enlightenment
My favorite 3 videos on the topic of enlightenment feature amazing speakers sharing their stories of transformation.
Their testimonials reminds us that the enlightened state is quite possible for everyone.
We learn that while the enlightenment experience can happen spontaneously, setting our minds to the task, and keeping ourselves focused on the goal is very important. When we do this we become fertile ground for the inner space to awaken in us.
1. Paramahamsa Nithyananda speaking about enlightenment in an interview with Seattle spiritual-show-host Rosemary Broccoli.
In this video interview Nithyananda speaks about growing up in Tiruvanamalai, a small sacred town in South India, in the company of enlightened masters. These enlightened masters were his teachers and mentors. He would see them perform constant miracles, healings, and he imbibed the wisdom they shared with those who came for understanding.
Can you imagine growing up in circumstances where the veil between our physical dimension and other dimensions was constantly being shifted to allow for teleportation, manifestation and shifts in consciousness?
The resultant world view and joy of life is obvious in Nithyananda as he shares his wonderful story. This video is captivating, inspiring and gives us glimpses into the devotional world of a young Hindu Saint.
2. The Dali Lama speaks on enlightenment in the Buddhist context.
In this 2-hour video, the Dali lama is speaking at a conference in Delhi on the topic of enlightenment. He stresses the path of awareness, connecting the creation of happiness with friendliness and love. He shares wonderful stories from his own childhood and speaks in a manner that we can all relate to, using concepts that we have practical experience of.
I particularly enjoy the Dali Lama’s joyful disposition. While the teachings he presents are timeless, in his delivery he presents them through the wisdom of his own personal experience and what he has learned from listening to millions of people seeking advice for their various issues. He speaks with a deep sense of compassion for himself and all. I smile as I listen.
3. Osho, who lived from 1931 to 1990, and developed a massive following worldwide, is seen here answering a question from a participant attending a course about the Present Moment vs the Future.
He describes how there is only the Now and how worrying about the future is not a fruitful practice.
There are many other thoroughly enjoyable Osho videos online that shed light and insight on the topic of enlightenment. I enjoy Osho for his characteristic humor, his frankness, and his ability to shake the viewers’ perception of the world. He lived during the 1960’s Hippie movement, and his teachings are alive with refreshing outlooks on life.
Enjoy this one and please comment. Thanks
